How Did You Get Started?

Now I don’t consider myself a bodybuilder much less an amateur bodybuilder. My training partner is the reason why I am on here. But here is how I got started. My oldest brother went away to college and did not come home until after his sophomore year. I did not know that he was working out at the time.

Now my brother was always slim and when he came home I could not believe how big he had gotten! When I graduated from high school I decided that I was going to the same college as my brother. In order for me to hang out with my brother and his frat brother who was now a senior I had to start working out with them. The rest is history. I have been on and off over the years but have been consistent since 2000.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Training hard, period! I change my work out program up so much that I am not sure if there is one plan that works the best. I just know that when I pull into the gym parking lot that it is on.

I have what I call my death walk. That is the walk from the car to the gym doors. This is the time I get my head right and ready for the battle between me and the weights. Everyone at the gym knows I am not there to talk. I only have one thing on my mind and that is to train and train hard.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I eat 6 times a day and do not eat fast food or sweets, so if that is what works then that is all I can tell you. Sorry.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Like I said before, I do a lot of running. Being in the military lends itself to that, so the only supplements I take are protein to try and keep some weight on.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

This is a good question, like I said before I don’t consider myself a body builder I am just a person who loves to work out. But to answer the question I would have to say it is the challenge. The challenge is between myself and the weights. Everyone has an outlet and mine just happens to be working out. After a long day at work there is nothing better than working out to relax.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

None. My workout partner keeps trying to talk me into getting on stage but that is not why I work out. I work out for me and because I love how I feel after I am done. But to keep her happy I just keep telling her I will think about it.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Leave your ego outside of the gym. When you are working out you are working out for you and no one else. Learn your form and do a weight that you can handle.

I will tell you this, those people that you are trying to impress don’t care anything about you and you are no good to anyone if you are hurt. Once you’re hurt, you are losing gym time trying to recover. Now the same ones that you were trying to impress are now laughing at you.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

I don’t really have a favorite. However there are a few pro bodybuilders out there that I like.
