How Did You Get Started?
My main goals in bodybuilding when I first started was just to get back in shape after having my son 8 years ago. My husband who is in the military and at the time stationed on a ship made me focus on myself for a change and put my needs first. After getting back in shape (and better than ever of course!), one thing lead to another and I realized I wanted to get certified as a personal trainer and help other woman who were in the same position as me. I always knew that competing was just going to go hand in hand with my personal training.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
Before contest prep time I train one major bodypart per day and take off two days per week. I always keep up on my cardio to keep bodyfat at a minimum and to ease stresses of everyday! At contest prep time I train legs twice per week, hitting one workout heavy and the nextlight weight/high rep. Every day I get in 2 cardio sessions, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?
Personally, I must say my love of bodybuilding comes from knowing I'm striving to be the best I can be. I love the challenge of each and every workout. I enter the weight room with a plan and follow through with it no matter what. It also keeps me feeling great! On a business level, I love being able to help others reach their goals. Mothers and military wife's are my main interest because I can really relate to their needs and make them realize that they need to take care of themselves so they can fill the role of mom and dad when need be. If Mom's not happy...No one's happy!
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I feel blessed that I am able to compete in bodybuilding. I plan on getting better every year! I'm currently getting ready for Musclemania, New Haven, CT. My future competition goals are to compete at Team Universe. If not this year than next!
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
No matter what, do not give up those dreams of competing! It may take a while to get there, but with hard work and dedication anyone can make it happen. Keep yourself surrounded with people who are supportive of your goals.
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
No doubt Arnold! On the female side Lenda Murray is just absolutely amazing!
