Why I decided to transform

Health and fitness have always been part of my life thanks to my mom, who instilled my active lifestyle from birth. In college, she noticed I was unhealthy and didn't know where to turn, so she gave me personal training lessons as a gift. After a few training sessions, I learned the basics and loved it.

I studied for my personal training certificate and tried to be a personal trainer when I finished college, but it didn't fulfill my desire. With a family background in the medical industry, I found a happy medium helping injured people return to normality through physical therapy and started my journey back to school for a doctoral degree.

Throughout school, I was surrounded by healthy and active people and befriended an active lady who became my workout partner. We set out and met many personal goals at running and biking events. I was happy during my three years there, but life got difficult after school. Balancing life and a healthy/active lifestyle isn't easy when you're around people who aren't focused on activity.

After a year, I found my niche, but wasn't where I wanted to be physically and started a relationship. The relationship started healthy. I met him at the gym, but we started eating out, skipping the gym, and eventually I gained more than 30 pounds. We became unhappy, unhealthy, and stressed out. I wasn't setting a good example for my patients and let myself down.

A coworker told me about online competitions on and I was pumped to start. was a saving grace. I started Kris Gethin's 12-Week Hardcore Trainer and found my strength. Unfortunately, the relationship was unsalvageable at that point, but my future was. I found strength to walk away from the unhealthy relationship through my focus on new fitness goals and transforming into the person I knew I was. I became stronger emotionally, gained confidence, and met my goals.

How I accomplished my goals

I accomplished my goals by following Kris Gethin's Hardcore Trainer. I couldn't have stayed on track without his daily videos and workout plans. I was 100 percent engulfed in the process and learned everything possible about bodybuilding.

There were many times in the beginning that I felt like nothing was changing, but I kept going. I was a true believer and knew I was on the right track because of my background in fitness and the endless transformation accounts and information on I used when I had a weak moment to look through transformation pages, scroll through FitBoards, and browse member profiles.

I stuck to a strict diet and ate like a robot. I didn't miss a meal, said no to all negative influences, and prepared for everything.

The diet was the most challenging in the beginning. It felt complex and I felt like I ate a lot. I couldn't believe I lost weight after adding food the first week. I made it simple and ate the same meals every day. It sounds boring, but I changed my mindset from seeing food as pleasure to seeing it as nutrients and fuel for my body. I stashed easy and quick foods around my house and car so I wouldn't make bad choices.

My future fitness plans

This is a lifestyle for me. I'm committed and can't wait to step on the competition stage for the first time. I would love to provide physical therapy for the bodybuilding world one day and make it my focus.

I want to be a positive role model for women in bad situations. I want to be an inspiration for them to find their strength and happiness.

Suggestions for aspiring transformers

Don't let people tell you what you can achieve. Find motivation within yourself, do your own research, and seek what you need through people who live it themselves. You can do it without anyone else by using and the endless information provided. You don't have to spend money on a trainer or supplements.

Put the cardio down! You don't have to give it up for good, but dedicate serious time to learn lifting techniques and get comfortable in the gym. It's truly life changing!

How helped me reach my goals

I took advantage of because I didn't have outside motivation or a trainer to help me through. It was just me and the information on I started with Kris Gethin's 12-Week Trainer, but I suggest you look through every plan and choose one that fits you best.
