All-Out 8-Week Mass Attack. No Holds Barred.
Day # 26 of 56 - 02-15-02

Today felt really good. I got to sleep in later, 5:10 am, and hit the gym around 5:30am this morning instead of the normal 4:45 am. This made it much easier for me to focus on legs than normal. Today was calve, forearms and legs. I woke up feeling really strong today.

When I got to the gym you could tell it was Friday, there was no one there at all. Which is nice, I just cranked up the radio up loud and I was ready to go.

I trained everything to failure using a negative today for each body part.
Calves
Donkey raises - 3x20 - 250lbs
Leg press toe raises - 3 - 20 - 5 plates each side
Seated raises - 1x20 - 90lbs, 2x20 - 110lbs

Forearms
Hammer curls - 1x10 - 35lbs, 1x6 - 95lbs, 1x10 - 40lbs
Reverse cable curls - 1x10 - 100lbs, 1x10 - 120lbs
Wrist curls - 2x20 - 105lbs
Wrist twists - 2x20 - 35lbs

Legs
Leg curls - 1x10 - 70lbs, 1x8 - 100lbs, 1x8 - 130lbs
Leg press (high foot placement to target hammys) 1x10 - 4 plates each side, 1x10 - 5 plates each side
Squats - 1x10 - 135lbs, 1x4 - 225lbs, 1x4 - 315lbs, I attempted 405lbs on squats today for 1 rep but all I managed was a really slow good negative.
Leg press - 1x10 - 5 plates each side, 1x10 - 6 plates each side, 1x10 - 7 plates each side
Leg extensions - 1x10 - 80lbs, 1x10 - 100lbs

That was one of the shortest leg workouts I have ever done but I must say that with using the negative on every set really pounded my legs like never before. They are completely exhausted right now. I felt really strong but obviously not strong enough for 405lbs on squats today. I have never squatted more than 365lbs before so it was a little too big of a step for me. I will get it before this cycle is over though.

Tomorrow I will hit arms and shoulders again but want post another update until Monday.

Being back in the swing of things this week really felt great. At the beginning of the week I had my doubts but it all turned out great. I will be taking some more stats in probably 2 weeks to track my progress. If the gains are as impressive as the first 3 weeks I will be totally floored with having exceeded my goals so early.

Until Monday,
