All-Out 8-Week Mass Attack. No Holds Barred.
Day # 11 of 56 - 01-24-02

Last night my wife went to bed a little early so I decided to make up for missing my back workout around 9:00 pm last night. I tried something completely different from my normal routine. I did 4 exercises, 10 reps each using perfect form with a negative and I squeezed like never before on peak contraction. I did pull downs behind the neck, close grip pull downs, bent rows and seated pulley rows. Let me tell you, my back hasn't been this sore in a long time. It was good to change up and do something like that.

This morning was leg day. It was really hard for me to roll out of bed today; I just didn't want to get up. But once I was at the gym and had my mp3 player blasting Static-X, Korn and some Limp Bizkit it was all good. After stretching and warming up for a few minutes it was time to go to work.

Leg curls - 1x10 - 80lbs, 1x10 - 100lbs, 1x6 - 140lbs
Smith machine stiff leg dead lifts - 1x10 - 135lbs, 2x8 - 185lbs
Leg Press (feet high on the platform to hit the hammys) - 1x10 - 3 plates each side, 1x10- 4 plates each side, 1x10 - 5 plates each side
Squats - 1x10 - 135lbs, 2x10 - 225lbs
Leg press - 1x10 - 4 plates each side, 1x10 - 5 plates each side, 1x10 - 6 plates each side
Hack squats - 1x10 - 1 plate each side, 2x8 - 2 plates each side

That was it. As I sit here and type this my shoulders and back are toasted from yesterday. I know that tomorrow my legs will be the same way. My pumps just keep getting better and better. One thing that I have noticed this week is it really seems that my recovery time is being cut in half. Where normally it takes 2 days to get over soreness in a given muscle group this week it's only taking one. That is great new to me, faster recovery means faster growth. My arms are looking bigger as well has my chest. I am anxious to take some stats next week.

Well until tomorrow,
