Hard work lies ahead, so just take it easy today. This is a great day to foam roll or to use trigger-point therapy. As your body heals, some of the tissues in your body will scar from your work in the weight room.
Now, this scar tissue is different from scars on your skin. You can "break up" scars in muscle tissue with intense pressure. Use a foam roller, lacrosse ball, or baseball. Place these firm objects between the floor and the sore or tight places on your body.
It's gonna hurt at first, but moments later you'll feel relief as the scar tissue breaks up and tight muscles are able to relax and receive an influx of healing blood.
