Part 1 | Part 2 |
In part I of this Stubborn Fat Stack series we examined supplements that can help get rid of that stubborn, pesky fat:
Supplement Summary
- Yohimbine blocks Alpha2 activation allowing for greater fat breakdown to occur and also increase blood flow to adipose tissue, making it perfect for targeting stubborn fat.
- Caffeine increase lipolysis by inhibiting the Adenosine receptor and PDE and also increases energy and delays fatigue.
- ALCAR increases the transportation of FFAs into the mitochondria and enhances fat oxidation.
- Green Tea Extract inhibits COMT thereby increasing lipolysis
- Sesamin increases the genes involved in fat oxidation, increasing one's capacity for fat loss and also decreases fat storage
The combination of Yohimbine+Caffeine+ALCAR+Green Tea Extract+Sesamin would make for the PERFECT Stubborn Fat Stack.
Now that we know what supplements work, we need to know how much and when we need to take these supplements. Stubborn Fat Stack Part II will lay out example supplement stacks and dosages for both men and women.
Choosing Your Supplements
When trying to create the Stubborn Fat Stack you could either try to find products with all the desired ingredients in them or buy single ingredient products. One good thing about single ingredient products is your can vary your dosage depending on how you respond. Bodybuilding.com carries all of the supplements we want in single ingredient products. Let's go over the dosages of each ingredient.
- Yohimbine = 2.5-10 mg 2X per day
- Caffeine = 100-200 mg 2X per day
- ALCAR = 500-2000 mg 2X per day
- Green Tea Extract = 250-500 mg 2X per day
- Sesamin = 1500 mg spread throughout the day
Now that we know how much we need to take, let's set up some schedules.
