In this fast-paced world of everyone always on the go and having to work long days to support themselves, many people who want to eat healthy struggle because they have limited time to prepare meals and therefore rely on fast food (which can be healthy depending on what you eat) or less-than-ideal foods.
With the general public's increasing concern over health, companies are starting to make their foods healthier and more convenient. This article will highlight two healthy, convenient products I have come across and currently use myself.

Dole Salad Kits
Dole has created a variety of pre-packaged salad kits that come with a lettuce/vegetable mixture, salad dressing, and croutons. My personal favorite is the Dole Light Caesar Mixture.

From their website: "Dole Light Caesar Salad Kit consists of Romaine lettuce, fat-free garlic croutons, and a convenient packaged light dressing. The Light Caesar dressing is packaged exclusively for Dole Salads."

If you want to decrease the carb content of this salad, simply do not use the croutons.

Tyson Grilled Chicken Strips
Tyson has released fully-cooked Grilled Chicken Strips. Since these strips are already fully cooked, you can simply open the bag and use the chicken.

These chicken breast strips taste great, are highly convenient and portable, and even come in a resealable bag.

The Meal
Dole Light Caesar Salad Kit + Tyson Grilled Chicken Strips
The Dole salad kits + Tyson's pre-cooked chicken is a great, healthy, convenient meal. This combo would be great for someone on the go or for you to leave at work. Most could get two meals out of 1 bag of salad and 1 package of chicken.
There are 3 servings per bag of Dole Salad and 2 servings per bag of Tyson Chicken. The total calorie and macronutrients for both bags combined are summarized in the list below.
- Fat = 27 grams
- Carbs = 28 grams
- Protein = 47 grams
- Total Calories = 420 kcals
This is just one simple meal idea. Look for more to come!
