Alex Carson

Background

Alex Carson grew up in London, England and found his way into the fitness industry at a young age. He graduated from Premier Training International with certifications in fitness instruction, sports nutrition, circuit training, and advanced nutrition for weight management, at the age of 17.

Sports played a large part in Alex's decision to pursue personal training. He religiously practiced Sanshou, a form of Chinese kickboxing, under the British Institute for Chinese Martial Arts, and competed in numerous athletic events during his youth.

He went on to study Youth and Community Studies at Canterbury Christ Church University and worked for a period as a sports journalist for a few newspapers including the Jerusalem Post in Israel. Alex always enjoyed researching and writing about his area of expertise, from international affairs to health and fitness.

His main area of interest is fat loss and the effort to tackle the growing obesity epidemic in Western societies, through lifestyle changes, exercise, nutrition, hormonal, and environmental influences on weight loss and gain.

Previously, Alex worked as a freelance personal trainer at Fitness First in Central London and now works as a mobile personal trainer in North London. He is the registered personal trainer for Finchley and Potters Bar, which is associated with www.workoutathome.co.uk and conducts 1-on-1 studio-based sessions at Vitality Personal Training in Temple, Central London.
