The cultural anthropologist Margaret Mead once said, "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does." So what's the secret? Why are groups so powerful? The answer lies in their social dynamic!
- Group members often have the same goals.
- They motivate one another.
- They learn from each other.
- They become a family that provides support when times are tough and entertainment when things are good!

Having the right social network can define success in any endeavor that you pursue. After all, a man is judged by the company he keeps. Someone who shares your goals can help you overcome any adversity.
Finding that person, however, can be just as difficult. A BodyGroup can connect you with people who can mentor you, challenge you, and exchange ideas that you might not have come across otherwise.
You, in turn, can help others on the same path. By acting as both student and teacher, keeping an open mind to new ideas and different methods, you may be the catalyst to the success of your group. Helping someone else with their goals can be very rewarding, and oftentimes, we benefit just as much by helping out.
BodyGroups are a great way to ask questions, learn, and make progress in a fun and positive environment! No matter what goals you have in mind, don't do it all alone-join a BodyGroup and find all the support you need, any time, all the time.
Joining a group is quick and easy! Find a group that matches up with what you want to do, check them out, and join! Then it's just up to you to contribute and communicate.
Start Your Own Group:
What if the group I am looking for doesn't exist? Maybe you can't find the group you were looking for. That's ok, because you can start your own group, and then invite others to join you! You can even start and be a member of multiple BodyGroups. If having one circle of friends is good, then more is better!

BodyGroup Of The Month
With the obvious benefits that come from being in a group of like minded people, Bodybuilding.com has decided to highlight some of the best BodyGroups. Once a month we will give a salute to a BodyGroup that displays the benefits of people coming together with similar goals. Our BodyGroup Of The Month features an ever growing group of highly motivated people, The Super Human.
This group is for people who are not satisfied with being normal! To be average to us isn't enough. We want to do one arm pull-ups, we want to be the strongest person they know, and we want to run faster than Husain Bolt and fight better than Ali...we want it all!!
"Every member of this group committed to..." We will strive towards achieving superhuman goals! No one or nothing will dent our confidence or slow our progress. We will stay clear of the haters, and most importantly avoid all forms of kryptonite!!
[ Q: ] What is your BodyGroup about and who are the members?
We are the SuperHumans!!!!! Our group is about setting superhuman goals and striving to achieve them. In my group it's ok to believe you can achieve the so-called 'impossible', it's ok to want to grasp the 'unobtainable', whether your goal is to run faster than Husain Bolt , fight better than Ali, be crowned Mr./Ms. Olympia or simply look better than anyone ever thought you could, we are determined to get there.
[ Q: ] Why did the founder start up the group?
I started this group because I knew there were people out there who felt exactly the way I did. When I first started training I had goals, goals that my peers felt were unachievable but I chose to use those nay-sayers as fuel. I knew I could achieve my goals regardless of how high in the sky everyone thought they were, all I had to do was put on my cape and avoid that kryptonite.

[ Q: ] What have your results been with starting the group?
"No-one or nothing will dent our confidence or slow our progress." That is part of the SuperHuman group commitment; it is a statement I stick to so my progress has subsequently followed, progress I have been documenting for the past few years on BodySpace.
[ Q: ] How do your members use the BodyGroup feature?
You can look at every single member of the group, the fact that they have joined shows they too have a positive mentality whether they are two days into their journey or two decades, the superhuman mentality is shared. I would like to think that members could view the profile of anyone in my group and feel they have something in common, therefore will feel comfortable sharing their own goals as a group or fellow SuperHuman.
[ Q:] Who are some of your notable members?
Well you have asked me to mention 5, but I could mention 500+ every single member reassures us that our goals may differ but our spirit does not wither.

[ Q: ] How would you explain the attitude needed in your group, to a new member?
No cant's, won't or nay-sayers in this group. If you have a goal, go for it. Don't make excuses as to why you can't; achievements don't just fall into your lap, you have to be persistent and chip away at them day by day. If you're ready to do that, we'll hand you your cape (albeit imaginary cape).
[ Q: ] In what way has motivating other BodySpace users, given you the ability to push yourself to new levels?
I am not the type to start a group, write a few
motivational words and expect people to be inspired. Any Jack and Jane can do that. I live this lifestyle day in day out and seeing people in my group who are doing the same keeps my focus in gear, I have to practice what I preach.
[ Q: ] What would you tell someone who is contemplating making a commitment to joining your group, to motivate them make the commitment?
Firstly make a commitment to yourself. We are a strong group because we are a strong group of individuals. Read through my group description and commitment, if you can relate to it then join. Take this group with you it may just help with that last rep or last few minutes of
[ Q: ] How do you think the group mentality applies to your personal life and how has it helped?
I avoid Kryptonite, by kryptonite I mean anything negative that could be a detriment to my progress or well-being whether it be in the gym or out of it. We all face challenges but the SuperHuman mentality is to never let those challenges keep or you get down. We go forward only!
[ Q: ] Why join your group as opposed to other transformation groups?
There are many groups on BodySpace. Some bigger and more active than others. Ultimately joining The SuperHuman group is a commitment to yourself. We can't all hold hands and skip merrily together on the way to the gym. Sometimes you have to wake up, get up and do it alone... yes at times it's hard to achieve your goals whatever they maybe, but knowing there are hundreds of individuals getting up every morning just like you with the mentality that today they will be a step closer to the 'unobtainable' makes it a little easier.
[ Q: ] How do you feel, is the best way to motivate others within the confines of the group page?
Simply document your progress. I never force anyone to comment or write "I AM A SUPERHUMAN" on their profile or our group page because saying it and doing it are polar opposites. Document your progress through blogs/photo's etc. By showing your progress you can then provide strength to others in the group. Posting links to your blogs or progress pictures is a great way to show that you walk the walk and are a true SuperHuman.
