Nutrition is the process of ingestion, digestion, absorption, and metabolism of food and assimilation of nutrients into the tissues. Your body uses nutrients for survival and rejuvenation, so you can see why it is so important to eat healthy and to optimize what we put in our bodies. To accomplish this, there are four main macronutrients you need to know about: carbohydrates, fats, proteins, and water.

Its no joke that abs really are made in the kitchen. In my experience, your diet is 80% of the battle, while your workouts are 20%. You absolutely cannot out-train a bad diet, and honestly, who would want to? It's crucial that your diet be dialed in not only to achieve the body that you want, but also for your overall health. The American diet is sadly lacking many nutrients that our bodies need, and is full of stuff we don't need. This is one of the many reasons why diseases today like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, celiac disease and yes, obesity, are so much more prevalent than they were before. For the next six weeks, your diet needs to be on point, so we can turn you into one healthy, lean, machine.
