IFBB Europa Super Show Preview
They say everything is bigger in Texas, and that sentiment will truly be exemplified when the IFBB Europa Super Show comes to Dallas, Texas. This event has grown to be the 3rd largest fitness festival on the IFBB circuit, behind The Arnold and The Olympia, with events ranging from the Hot Mom contest, Martial Arts demonstrations and IFBB Pro Bikini to IFBB Professional Bodybuilding. The Europa Super Show has something for everybody. Ed and Betty Pariso have expanded the expo to include a total of 18 events, including professional bodybuilding, fitness, figure and bikini contests. These events will see at least 87 of the IFBB's elite compete for the $42,000 in prize money and the 15 invites for Joe Weider's Olympia Weekend that are up for grabs.

In the Men’s Open Division, we will see the pro debut of the USA’s finest young athletes in the shape of Mark Alvisi, Cedric McMillan and Shawn Rhoden. When McMillan won his pro card last year, he was compared to the legendary eight time Mr. Olympia, Lee Haney, which is not bad for a bodybuilder’s first outing on a major stage. McMillan, should he turn up in Dallas ready for battle, should be the man to beat. He has the lines and symmetry of a man half his size and carries enough muscle to make even Markus Ruhl think about eating a few more calories.
Australia's Michael Kefalianos, has come close to earning an invite to this year's Olympia on more than one occasion but will this weekend be what the man from down under has trained for his whole bodybuilding life? And how
can we forget the veterans Bill Wilmore and Markus Ruhl? Both athletes have enough muscle to make King Kong look like a chimp. They are vying for their invites to the big dance in the desert this coming September. Will the veterans step onstage like the great bodybuilders we know they are, or will father time have caught up with them and see the likes of Brandon Curry and Omar Deckard ruling the roost?
 Men's 202 Division

This has to be one of the biggest 202 line ups all year. Seth Feroce, who has had a meteoric rise through the amateur ranks, will be making his IFBB professional debut. He will face some tough competition in the shape of Slovakian pro Jaroslav Horvath and the USA’s Tricky Jackson, both of whom have already qualified for this year's 202 Showdown. I, for one, cannot wait to see this battle.

*Top 3 Qualify for Mr. Olympia Weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada September 24th- 25th, 2010
** Already Qualified this year
There is no women’s bodybuilding this year in Dallas. Instead the promoters have decided to go with the three other disciplines the IFBB has for the female athlete, Pro Fitness, Pro Figure and Pro Bikini. Is this the shape of things to come? Is women’s bodybuilding dying a death? I hope not, but then again that's a whole other can of worms I can open at a later date. However this weekend we have nine Olympia invites up for grabs and the three remaining women's contests are sure to be hotly contested.
With five of the fourteen competitors in the Figure Division, three of the thirteen in the Bikini Division and only one of the thirty seven in Fitness already qualified for the Olympia. The competition will be fierce and those coveted Olympia qualifications will be even more scarce with Figure being the greatest shot for those not yet qualified to do so.
Who will reign supreme in Dallas this coming weekend? Will Cedric McMillan make the transition from amateur to pro with ease and follow in the steps of Kevin Levrone by winning his pro debut? Only time will tell. Until then we will have to stay tuned here on bodybuilding.com for up to the minute reports on what goes down in Dallas.
