What a night! It was full of excitement and anticipation. There were 19 beautiful figure competitors, 15 fitness competitors and 14 women bodybuilders. There was some tough competition and the judges had their work cut out for them. Well most of the judging happened today during pre-judging but the fitness as well as the bodybuilders had a round of routines and posing routines respectively that were judged tonight.
Women's Bodybuilding
We started off the night with the women's bodybuilding posing routines. Here are some thoughts on the top six women: Dayana Cadeau she looked a tad bit tighter tonight. She has great symmetry and overall muscularity but could have been leaner in my opinion. Her physique got her a sixth place win tonight.
Betty Pariso who is 54 yrs olds looked incredible! She looks very lean, muscular and very symmetrical she could have tighter glutes. Also her routine was beautiful! Tonight she was 5th. Lisa Aukland she was on She is lean and very muscular. She has brought up her back but still needs to bring her lats up a tad bit more and she earned a 4th place tonight.
Debi Laszewski who placed 3rd looked great! Very muscular and had great conditioning. Coming in at 2nd place tonight was Yaxeni Oriquen-Garcia. Tonight was her 42nd show! She was tied with Iris for the most wins here at the Arnold Classic.
She has an impressive physique. But tonight was Iris Kyle's night. She brought what we have come to expect from the champion. She was muscular, lean and had unparalleled symmetry. She took the title and now the record holder with 5 Ms International titles.
The figure awards were given tonight to some very deserving and hard working women. They are all beautiful and graceful and I have to say I sometimes wonder how do they choose who wins? They all look incredible! The top ladies tonight were Larissa Reis who was poised, elegant and with a great V taper and earned a 6th place tonight.
Felicia Romero had great presentation and great lines, I have to say that her suit was very distracting, in my opinion. I love Felicia but I was not a fan of her suit. She earned 5th place tonight. Mindi Smith had great stage presence; she is on the rise in this sport. She won her pro card at the NPC Nationals and she won the first pro show of this year. She has a bright future in this sport. Tonight she earned a 4th place win.
Heather Mae French who is a crowd favorite was stunning as always. She is poised and elegant and earned a 3rd place win. Winning the 2nd place tonight was Erin Stern, whose great symmetry and conditioning were incredible. Her mile long legs and million dollar smile definitely lit the stage.
Winning the big title tonight is a rising star in this sport and one of the youngest to win the Olympia title was none other than Nicole Wilkins-Lee. She add the title of Ms Figure International to her already impressive resume.
That left the fitness gals for the end. The fitness routines tonight were very entertaining and we learned a little bit about the competitor's personalities as well. As each and every single one reflected a little bit of their persona. There were some incredible routines and the top six ladies all were amazing.
Camala Rodriguez who started out with a Michael Jackson tribute silver glove and everything! She had a good routine and earned a 6th place win. Oksana Grishina who one can tell this girl has a professional gymnastic background, she had a very powerful and explosive routine. She got a great reaction from the crowd as she delivered another great routine! She earned a 5th place tonight.
Trish Warren who placed 4th tonight did a warrior theme routine! A very energetic routine as well as very powerful one. Tanji Johnson with her Michael Jackson tribute was on tonight. She went from classic Michael moves and rocked it! The girl has some moves It was a great routine. Very energetic and playful. Loved it! She placed 3rd tonight.
Julie Palmer with a routine that started out with a tribute to her past placing here at the Arnold was interesting. Not my favorite routine, but she's always a crowd favorite. She was awarded 2nd place tonight.
So that left none other than Adela Garcia with the 1st place winning. She was true to her Latin roots tonight and it paid off. Her routine was full of Latin moved and flavor. Being a Latin girl myself I have to say that I loved the routine.
