On May 10th, 272 lbs. of pure muscle won the day at the 2008 NPC Mike Francois Classic presented by Dennis AutoPoint and promoted by Mike and Shannan Francois. The day began with 110 athletes vying for the top spots in the 11th annual classic held in Powell, Ohio champions in the field, and an impressive 25 competitors in the Novice Division alone! Athletes from at least 8 states made up the remarkable lineup for both figure and bodybuilding. The capacity crowd was not disappointed as the competitors took the stage. At the end of the night one bodybuilder was left standing after a very hard fought pose down (decided by a tie-breaker) - Super Heavyweight Earl Crosswhite, Jr. At 270 plus pounds and in very good condition, Crosswhite took the overall hardware home.
Earlier in the night, two other overall trophies were awarded: Lisa Janusz (Women's Bodybuilding) and Gloria Keplinger (Women's Figure). Both competitors looked amazing.
Men's Novice Bodybuilding:
John Quint
John Quint from Westerville, OH won first place in the Novice Bodybuilding Division.
Men's Masters Bodybuilding:
Arthur Williams
Arthur Williams from Pittsburgh, PA won first place in the Masters Bodybuilding Division. He also took firts place in the Men's Bodybuilding Light-Heavyweight Division.
Women's Masters Figure:
Angela Kegler
Angela Kegler from Columbus, Ohio won first place in the Women's Masters Figure.
Women's Lightweight Bodybuilding:
Lisa Janusz
Lisa Janusz from Lewis Center, OH won first place in the Women's Lightweight Division.
Women's Lightweight Bodybuilding:
Jessica Work
Jessica Work from New Martinsville, WV won first place in the Women's Middleweight Bodybuilding Division.
Women's Figure Class A:
Gloria Keplinger
Gloria Keplinger from Springfield, OH won first place in Figure Class A Division. She also won the Overall Figure award.
Women's Figure Class C:
Christian Hammond
Christian Hammond from Tiffin, OH won first place in the Figure C Division.
Men's Bodybuilding Lightweight:
Geno Frissora
Geno Frissora from Columbus, OH won first place in the Men's Bodybuilding Lightweight.
Men's Bodybuilding Middleweight:
J.B. Barlett
J.B. Barlett from Lawrenceburg, IN won first place in the Men's Bodybuiling Middleweight Division.
Men's Bodybuilding Heavyweight:
Drew Smith
Drew Smith from West Carrollton, OH won the Men's Bodybuilding Heayweight Division.
Men's Bodybuilding Super-Heavyweight:
Earl Crosswhite Jr.
Earl Crosswhite Jr. from Heath, OH won first place in the Men's Bodybuilding Super-Heavyweight. Earl won the Overall winner in the Men's Bodybuilding Division.
