Contest Review

The Great Lakes - Ironman/Lady of Iron Natural was held at the University Of Michigan Theater in Flint, Michigan on June 23rd. This was an NPC drug tested event. The show featured Bodybuilding and Figure competitors. The top five from each division took home beautiful swords.

Every competitor was given a contest t-shirt from sponsor BodyBuilding.com. There were 46 competitors. With Melissa Frabbiele as the masters of ceremony the show was a smooth success.

-> Division Winners:

    Christopher Rhoades took the 1st place for the bodybuilding teen division. Rhoades was in great shape. Also in the teen division placing second was Diego Rodriguez, coming in the contest in fantastic shape as well. Della Lambert took home the 1st place award for the bodybuilding master’s women division. Lambert is a fabulous competitor. The bodybuilding grand masters men’s winner was Bob King, this division was open to men over 50.

    The bodybuilding master’s men winner was Steve Williams. The master’s division featured men between 40 and 49 years of age. Williams is a great overall competitor. The bodybuilding women’s lightweight winner was Della Lambert. The winner of the Heavy weight division was Christine Hardy. Hardy took home the overall trophy.

    The bodybuilding open men's lightweight winner - Marcus Cooper. Open men middleweight - Ruwa Wallace. Open men light-heavyweight - Michael Fairbank. Open men heavyweight - Joseph Sepienza. Wallace took home the overall trophy. There were a lot of great competitors in open men’s divisions.

    The figure division consisted of a great group of women in fantastic shape, divided into open short and tall divisions, and also a grand masters (over 40) division. The grand master’s figure division and the short open women’s division was won by Karen Lavearn. The Tall figure division was won by Linda Malek. With Lavearn winning the overall title. Both women displayed fabulous stage present and have the symmetry to go far in figure events.
