The 2nd annual Xcalibur Bodybuilding & Figure Championships was held July 22, 2006 in Bridgewater, NJ. The show, promoted by Pat Grieco, drew competitors from Long Island, Connecticut, Philadelphia, New York City, and Virginia, the home state of the overall winner.

Last year's show was a great success and to make this event even more memorable, we raised and donated $5000 to the Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center. Representatives from the Cancer Center were presented with the donation during the evening finals, making for a very special event.

All competitors received an Xcalibur medallion, official t-shirt supplied by Bodybuilding.com and gift bag with homemade chocolate chip cookies. Pizza was also given to the competitors backstage at the evening finals. Great hotel suite accommodations were provided by Sierra Suites Hotel in Branchburg, NJ.

The first 5 places in each class received an original sculpture trophy. Overall winners received an Xcalibur sword with the Open winner receiving an autographed weight belt from pro bodybuilders (such as Dexter Jackson, Shawn Ray, Victor Martinez and 5-time Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates).

Being an NPC competitor for the past 15 years, I wanted to promote the show for my fellow athletes. My goal was to provide an event that recognized all the hard work and dedication it takes to compete. I want to personally thank all those who participated and I look forward to seeing you all next year.

A special thanks to all the sponsors that made this show possible. Bodybuilding.com, Mindless Meals, Precision Fitness, First Hallmark Mortgage, Zues Scientific, Natural Medicine and Rehabilitation, Universal Nutrition, Sierra Suites Hotel, Martinsville Inn, Reps Fitness Supply, Van Syckel Insurance, Tan Down Under, Absolute Painting, Toscana's Italian Cuisine, Bass Enterprises, Loumarc Signs and Allstate Insurance Company.

Many of these sponsors also contributed to the Steeplechase Cancer Center fund.
