This exercise is the best for traps hands down. To get a better lift just lean forward slightly, and make sure your elbows are locked the entire workout. In addition to this exercise, my favorite trap exercise is not listed so i will try to explain: Lie face down on and INCLINE bench at 45-60 degrees. With a dumbbell in each hand hanging, allowing your arms to hang straight down [1]. Squeeze your shoulder blades together and raise the weights up to head level, 45 degrees away from your body (your arms and torso should form a Y shape) [2]. Reverse the motion to return to the starting position. That's one rep. These two exercises will explode your traps from the front part of your trap all the way down to the last fiber in your middle back.-See Less
