Straps allowed me to up my weight from 365 to 465 for this. Straps are the key and secret to excel in this workout, my opinion. This is a great workout to build upper traps and grow width with them. Not great to build the lower traps, not meant for that.
DB trap shrugs, also use straps, they do the same thing as the barbell, only it is a dumbbell but you cant go as heavy. Use straps, it'll isolate the upper traps more. Mine been sore almost 5 days, after large BCAA/EAA usage. -See Less
