This is a killer leg exercise...always makes you sore. If you do not have good balance, try staying in the lunge position and just pump up and down until you have the strength and balance to do a lunge from a standing position. Step into a lunge, then push off of front leg back to standing again. When you step out into a lunge make sure you step out far enough that your knee is not going too far forward over toe. Make sure foot is flat, and you are not pushing off of the balls or side of your foot. I see a lot of beginners doing this.-See Less
