This is the real squat. Nothing activates the quads like putting them all the way into their fully stretched postion (Glutes down as close to the floor as possible) . This is the real squat. Nothing activates the quads like putting them all the way into their fully stretched postion (Glutes down as close to the floor as possible) . Also using the full range of motion ensures balanced muscle development and flexibility are maintained. Although less weight can be lifted vs a half squat results are far superior and injury is less likely due to less strain (weight) being placed on the knee joint. -See Less
