When doing this exercise, I find it also beneficial to turn my toes-outward/heels-inward and toes-inward/heels-outward in addition to the standard toes/heels straight position. When doing this exercise, I find it also beneficial to turn my toes-outward/heels-inward and toes-inward/heels-outward in addition to the standard toes/heels straight position. Someone told me this helps further isolate the different parts of the calf. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but my calves began to touch each other in virtually no time at all. -See Less
