Body Tricep Press Guide

Main Muscle: Triceps

  1. Position a bar in a rack at chest height.
  2. Standing, take a shoulder width grip on the bar and step a yard or two back, feet together and arms extended so that you are leaning on the bar. This will be your starting position.
  3. Begin by flexing the elbow, lowering yourself towards the bar.
  4. Pause, and then reverse the motion by extending the elbows.
  5. Progress from bodyweight by adding chains over your shoulders.

Jan 22, 2013 6:14 AM: I tried these yesterday. Very good. You can make it extremely challenging based on height and length from w/e you are using to hold yourself (I used my desk). If you have a bar, like in the top pic, use it because a desk can hurt the wrist.

Jul 12, 2012 1:11 PM: The best triceps exercise I've tried. This exercise is really bringing out the long head of my triceps, I can not only feel the effects of the exercise I can see it. I'm really not a fan of isolation exercises but this has a thumbs up from me.
