Works very well. It gets those forearms tight, and gives a good burn. Be careful how you get into that position. You can jack your back up easily and possible strip your elbow tendons. Take it easy.

It helps to make each rep slow and precise. Also squeeze hard at the end of each curl. Feels like the skin on your arm is going to rip..Great exercise! :)

Every other wrist exercise puts your wrist in an awkward position and when executing the move you feel like there is something that is just not right, for example any seated barbell/dumbbell wrist curl you feel like your wrist is either hanging in the air or that stabilizing the movement is not practical, however, with this exercise, none of that exist, you can perform it with a heavy weight squeeze your muscle so hard and stay in perfect form.

These work well if you really focus on squeezing at the top of the flex. Also, they are effective if done in the front as well.
