Hold this position for as long as you can and then relax.

SORRY, I MEANT TO SAY:
My gym does not have this machine. What is functional difference between a Lying Leg Curl and a Seated Leg Curl and a Standing Leg Curl? Do they use different muscles, or from a different angle?

I frankly would be very careful with this exercise, you can strain your lower back. DO NOT over do it and try and lift too much weight because it will easily strain your lower back.

Perfect workout for building strong hamstrings and as it's natural for quads to develop faster than hamstrings, isolation is almost key for a strong lower body. High weight intensities will help to increase testosterone levels and build a strong lower body.

To build up strength I have found that it helps to do this exercise with lighter weights on an "off" day.

This exercise is phenomenal especially when you train eccentrically. Use both legs to get a desired weight up then use only one to lower it slowly in a controlled manner.
