Twisting your wrist a lil downwards instead of keeping it straight hits the delts better

My favourite shoulder exercise,help me hit the three shoulder heads at the same time,great mass and strenght builder.I like to do them slowly with a full range of motions in a rep range from 8-10.

Except that the video says to touch the dumbbells at the top position... I like to get the dumbbells as close to together without touching.

Excellent mass-builder; use of dumbbells allows for more freedom of movement and often results in better targeting of medial deltoids in comparsion to using a barbell, which must be moved more forward to avoid hitting one's face. Downrated only slightly due to minor inconvenience when getting the dumbbells...+See More

Yeah, yeah, anyone who is serious about maintaining a lean physique and making quality gains, will do supersets. As are pyramid/down sets. But the true aspirations to getting meatier medial delts a.k.a wider shoulders mine are 56 now almost Yeah!, is to do it with correct FORM Sacrifice ego and wight....+See More

But the true aspirations to getting meatier medial delts a.k.a wider shoulders mine are 56 now almost Yeah!, is to do it with correct FORM Sacrifice ego and wight. Over time doing this correct will pay off. Make sure to use a bench that has a seat at a 90 degree angle. Then plant your butt down and MAKE SURE IT STAYS DOWN!!
Another aspect, which Ive seen almost every guy in my life big or small is that when they do this exercise is, can you guess? I used to do it, until I made myslef correct my error and form, cuz I was to arrogant. KEEP YOUR BACK STRAIGHT and AGAINST THE 90 degree bench! That is the Key component! Before I started with sloppy form and such and was doing 90 lb. dumbbells. I did it, to make everyone think a big 17 yr old was kickin butt. I realized though with time, I was an idiot trying to impress other ppl and not myself. So, I did it the Arnold way. Not arnold presses, but THE HARD WAY. With that back against the seat thing my weight max went from 90 lbs to 42.5 lbs as my new max. Now 1 year later Im up to 65 lbs, straight up great form.
Always have spotter when you go heavy, especially with DB Shoulder Press. Actually scratch that. Always have a spotter when working Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps(skullcruchers). Remember Those muscles cant handle as much as your legs/back can.
Also never, in my opinion, never go until the dumbeels tough your shoulders. Bring them down to mouth/chin level. Wont screw up your rotator cuffs, which hurt. Trust me. Expereince is knowledge. Gained through time.

If your arms are doing all the work, then you need to go less weight and build from there. Another great way of getting a good workout with this routine is with supersets. I'll start with 75 lbs, do about 10-12 reps, then immediately put the 75 lbs. down and pick up 55 lbs. to rep out. You will definitely feel it with supersets of any weight pattern! -See Less
