I love it. Im doing 100lb cable crunches and you can def build those muscles up, which are super hard for me.

To hit the obliques as well, go right elbow to left kneee and left elbow to right knee. Incredible burn!!!

I like to mix up the ab routine every time I workout my abs, and using this approach is great to confuse the abs. I use different reps and weight, which helps make the abs stand out really well!

How does this isolate rec ab? I've tried this and it's common for me to use my hip flexors instead. It probably suggests I've got weak abs but i think good old sit ups and crunches are good enough. When i do sit ups i contract concentrically to curl up and sloooooowly go back down to work my abs eccentrically,...+See More

I like to do 3 sets 3 of 50 to 60 reps at 50lbs(3 times), 57.5lbs(3 times) and then 65lbs(3 times). I start facing the machine with enough room between the machine and where i've knelt to do the crunch for the first set. Then I add 6 inches(scoot my knee's back)for the next set(set 2). Doing very slow reps and holding to a count of 10 when bent really gives a burn on upper abs.
