Feb 4, 2012 10:44 PM: 1. Make sure not to bend your wrist when grabbing the bark.
2. Do not lock your knees out like the guy in the video.
3. Do listen to the narrator when instructs to "maintain a straight posture with the head up" but you don't want to be looking at the ceiling either.

Oct 30, 2011 8:46 AM: Be sure to listen to your body as you go up in weight. Don't try to exceed what your lower back can support at that time or you will sustain an injury.

Jul 17, 2011 11:11 AM: I know this might be a weird tip, but when sitting on the toilet seat, sit in a squat position while you "do your business". This allowed me to go as low as possible on my first try; maybe it's just me, or maybe my abnormal toilet sitting made me more flexible in that regard.

Barbell Full Squat
Jan 25, 2010 8:13 PM: be careful not to arch your back forward. Always keep it tight and straight, or even arched up a little at the bottom. Don't let your knees wobble sideways either as this can lead to injury, keep them in line.

Jan 6, 2010 11:12 AM: for those of you who have short hams, place a small plate beneath your heels. This will help you preform this excercise way better.
Also, this is the best excercise for your entire lower body, and the deeper you go the more of your glutes will get involved thus it's a true compound.
