How Did You Get Started?

I started dating an amateur bodybuilder who taught me the basics and my passion grew from there. I was always intrigued by the sport of bodybuilding and always loved to challenge myself physically.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Call it obsessive, but I find I get the best results when I train 5 days on, 2 off. On my two days off from lifting, I will still do 45min of cardio each day.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

When I am getting ready for a show, I manipulate my carbs and fats according to my needs. I do not track calories and I eat as much protein as I want as long as I stay within my numbers. In my off-season, I just eat whatever I want. I still mentally keep track of my fats and carbs and I stay away from saturated fats as much as possible and refined sugars.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I find that Nitric Oxide is a great form of supplementation as a pre-workout booster, along with Animal Pump which is a creatine blend to increase power, strength and recovery.

I also use powergels or Cliff Shots during my workout for an additional boost. I always drink down a BCAA stack by Universal right after my workouts. I am really confident that this works in helping enhance recovery and maintain lean muscle mass. It provides a really good balance of aminos/glutamine as well. I also recommend L-arginine/Ornithine 2x day to enhance blood flow, promote growth hormone release and prevent muscle breakdown.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love to physically challenge myself; I love how it makes me feel; I love the discipline and intensity of the sport; I love how inspirational a good pump is; I love to look in the mirror, hit a pose and watch developing muscles looking back at me. It makes me more confident as a woman and pushes me to be the best I can be.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

Well, I have competed in two amateur shows now and won both lightweight and overall classes. I am going to continue competing until I reach a National level or the USA's. I would love to just get on the cover of some fitness mag just once... preferably next to Jay Cutler if I am lucky.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Stay motivated and disciplined, this is how you will see results. Do not give up when the going gets tough. that is when the fun is just beginning. Strive to improve and succeed... never take no for an answer. You will stand a bit taller at the end of the day, with a will to succeed and improve every step of the way. Do not stop at the finish line...there is no end in your quest for accomplishment and being the best that you can be! Train Hard!
