How Did You Get Started?
Growing up I was chubby but solid and really strong, as I grew older I played a few sports. I fluctuated a bit over the years due to life stresses. I worked in corporate America for a while and number crunching burned me out! I decided to let out all my frustration out in the gym, I took classes, lifted weights, and before long the members thought I was a trainer and started asking me for help and advice not to mention the fact that I was the last person in the gym every other night. I loved it!
So I decided to follow my heart and become a Fitness consultant. I became a personal trainer, fitness consultant and group exercise instructor in 2002. In my field your heart and soul should be to motivate and help your clients accomplish their goals. My clients have motivated me as well through their struggle for health and wellness. In March of 2008 I thought about entering a competition, I decided to enter the International Natural Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation and I set myself up to do my first show in September, I decided to do Figure and Ms. Fit Body. I became a WNBF Figure Pro September 2008, winning my pro-card in my first show! And also winning Ms. Fit body 2008 at the Naturalmania in NYC! It's great to follow your heart!

I would tell other competitors to compete because you love the sport, not for prizes, or to prove anything to anyone, remember you are your biggest competition, and you are a winner just for stepping out on the stage.
