How Did You Get Started?

I got started in bodybuilding through a friend. I went to see one of his shows in Rhode Island and decided to compete. I fell in love with bodybuilding that day!

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I train 5 days per week off-season and 6 during contest prep. I train one body part per day although my workout plan is not written in stone. I train hard and heavy, using the best form possible. The key is consistency and constantly surprising your muscles. I change exercises constantly to keep my body guessing what is next.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Nutrition is 65-70% of bodybuilding so I put the most focus on that. Off-season and contest prep, my diet stays pretty much the same believe it or not. When I am training for a show, I gradually cut back on the carbohydrate calories and increase my protein. I don't do the Adkins diet because I don't believe in it for many reasons. Glycogen is important for many physiological functions so I say MODERATE carbs, not NO carbs. I cut out sugars and all junk food when I am dieting down, and keep the protein high.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

The supplement I found to be the most beneficial is V-12. It makes me vascular and gave me the most gains.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love bodybuilding because it teaches discipline. After weeks of hard work, you look in the mirror and see the final result of the hard work. I apply this to life overall.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My future bodybuilding goals are simple, keep competing as long as I can endure pain. This is a hobby for me so I don't plan on winning some huge monetary accomplishment. I just like to compete.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

The most important tip I can give anyone is to stay hungry. Consistency is what is important. You will have bad days and good ones but keep your eye on your goals. If you want to gain weight, decrease body fat, or whatever, stay focused and eventually you will succeed.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

My favorite bodybuilder is Shawn Ray. Shawn is a true ambassador for the sport and deserves much respect! Big ups to Shawn Ray!!
