How Did You Get Started?
I was exposed to weights earlier than I could remember. The male role models in my family always lifted weights so that was the time when my inspiration and admiration for sculpted physiques was born. I dibbled and dabbled with the weight bar all the way up to 13 years old. It was at the tender age of 13 when I got serious and started working out on a consistent basis.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
Off season I work out 6 days on and 1 day off for 12 weeks. After that I will then switch my routine to a 3 days on and 1 day off for another 12 weeks.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
I regularly intake 1 multi-vitamin a day. Otherwise, I just eat in abundance all day every day making sure that I am properly getting enough proteins, carbohydrates and fats. My BMR is roughly 3000 and I burn an estimated 500 calories in the gym each time I go so I make sure I eat about 4000 calories a day if I want to gain 1 pound a week.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love bodybuilding for two major reasons. The first reason is that I always enjoyed watching the powerful and muscular physiques ever since I could remember. Secondly, I take pride in the amount of discipline, motivation and dedication that needs to be exhibited in order to sculpt the body.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I will be competing at the 2001 Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia on November 16 and 17. I hope to turn professional at the Nationals and gain a great amount of exposure. I want to be a great role model and representative of the sport of bodybuilding before too much time passes by.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Always take pride in your work even though others may not recognize you for it. Bodybuilding as you already know involves individual effort and determination so stay focused and try to achieve feasible and realistic goals for yourself.
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
The first bodybuilder who caught my eye as a child was none other than Lou Ferrigno. The tv show "Incredible Hulk" was my favorite while I was growing up. After Lou Ferrigno I started to recognize other great bodybuilders like Arnold Swartzennegger, Sergio Olivia, Franco Columbo and Lee Haney.
