How Did You Get Started?

I started lifting weights at the age of 19, in my first years as a member of the Air Force at Yokota Air Base, Japan. I was introduced to bodybuilding by a good friend Geovanny Govea and noticed immediate results and fast gains in both muscle size and strength. I weighed about 170 lbs when I first started bodybuilding and never really focused on legs, I was more into building my physique from the top. After noticing the transformation of my body and muscular development I couldn't get enough of lifting.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

My best workout plan is 5 workout days, 1 day off and 1 on, followed by another off day.

Monday: Chest, Abs
Tuesday: Quads (a.m.) & Hamstrings, Calves (p.m.)
Wednesday: Back
Thursday: Shoulders, Tri's
Friday: Biceps, Abs
Saturday: Off
Sunday: Traps, Calves, Abs-(30min Cardio)

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

When I first began lifting there was no such thing as a nutritional plan it was all about trying to gain weight at any circumstance. This wasn't detrimental to my physique and knowing what I know now if I had another chance to do it all over, I would've taken a different approach to gaining mass.

With my first show the approach taken was a low-carb, high protein diet consuming 100-150gms of carbs a day and 230gms of protein a day. I eat about 5 meals a day, every 2.5hrs, consuming high protein sources such as: Chicken, Tuna, Shakes, Egg Whites and lean red meat. Carb sources are usually a bagel in the morning and 2 cups of white rice a day.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Cell Tech is a good source for mass and strength gains; despite the water-weight it is great. Nutrex Niox is the best source of Nitric Oxide I have ever used. CLA along with Lipo-6 is a good tool for pre-contest fat burning and to keep my energy up throughout the day I use Mega Men's Vitamins.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Bodybuilding has had a great impression in almost every aspect of my life. It requires discipline and a great deal of mental stability. The gym is my time to focus and work on another lagging body part and prove to myself that I can put the total package together and look great on stage.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My future plans are to compete in an upcoming show in San Francisco and from there take some time off and work my way to the nationals. My long term goal... by the age of 30 to have my IFBB pro card.
