How Did You Get Started?
I have been athletic all my life. I started playing soccer at a very young age and continued through my collegiate career at East Stroudsburg University. I was also very competitive in track; in high school and college. After my last season of college soccer was over, I had a feeling of emptiness. I really enjoy competition and felt the need to find an activity that would keep competition in my life.
I trained for a marathon but ended up injuring myself 2 weeks out of my race. I then got into teaching aerobics classes 3 days a week at a local fitness center Muscle Inc. My boss Bobby Cartalemi, now my personal trainer, asked me if I would ever consider training for a figure competition. At first I thought it was the most ridiculous thing; now it is the biggest part of my life. I thank my trainer everyday for getting me into this sport. It is very self-rewarding and I love everything that is involved in it. I owe a lot of what I have accomplished, so far, to him! Thanks, Bobby!

Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love the challenge of pushing myself to levels that I thought I could never attain. I like the challenge of continuing to make improvements in my physique from show to show. It's awesome to see my body transform with hard training and dieting. Nothing feels better than to walk out on stage and show everyone what I have been training the past 4 months for. You can never control what anyone else does but you can most certainly control what you look like on stage. I love the high of the competition day. I feel and look my best and have grown to love being on stage. I believe the physical and mental transformations I have put myself through the past 2 years have truly been life changing for me!
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I just recently qualified for Jr. Nationals this past May. I plan to compete next June in Chicago at the 2008 Jr. Nationals Figure Championship.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Stay true to yourself, your dreams, and your plans and keep searching for ways to create the extraordinary life you wish to have in the figure and fitness world. The road you are about to embark on will be challenging at times. But isn't that true of anything great that's worth having in life? It's a competition, but your body is your own subject of judgment. You have no one to blame but yourself if you are defeated and no one to congratulate but yourself for your win.
