How Did You Get Started?

From a young age I've always had an interest in sport and was an all-round sports man, but never thought much about it past that and I rarely considered the gym. On the first day of college I was dragged to the gym by my cousin who recently got a job there. It was love at first sight after that initial visit.

I've never stopped going years down the line I have learned more about training and how the body works. My love for fitness has played a role in a lot of the decisions that I have made in life in regards to education, and career choices. I was short and skinny, now that's all changed. Working out is my passion - the results are the bonus.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

When it comes to training, I split it into 3 phases, mass gain, sculpting and getting ripped. I wouldn't say there's one workout that's better than the rest, it all depends on the training phase but one of the best methods I used was German Volume Training, I got big and lean and it was most definitely a challenge. I change my training on a regular basis to keep the body guessing, and I am always willing to try something new because you never know if there is something better out there.

I train 5 days a week and take the weekends off because that's what I have found fits in perfect with my life style, sometimes it's not about fighting the mold but more about fitting into it.

Cardio I don't do until the later phases due to my high metabolism. I find if I do cardio it's hard for me to put any size on during the bulking phases, and even sometimes lose size if I miss a meal or two. The only cardio which I do consistently do is boxing a couple times a week.

Day 1: Back/Calves
Day 2: Legs/Abs
Day 3: Chest/Triceps
Day 4: Biceps/Calves
Day 5: Shoulders/Abs
Day 6 And 7: Off

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

Just like training, the diet all depends on which phase I'm in but I find the secret is eating clean, with one treat meal a week. Even during bulking phases, if I eat clean I will still put on size while reaming kind of lean. The plan that has worked best for me when cutting up is a carb rotation finishing off with two weeks of no carbs.

  • 2 Weetabix biscuits
  • 50g oats

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

My love for fitness goes deep, the effects it has had on me on the inside are astronomical, and working as a personal trainer I've seen the way it has transformed others. I've seen it transform the lives of previous drug addicts, alcoholics, the depressed and more. It can transform you on the inside making you feel like a million dollars, full of confidence which reflects in your decisions.

It can help with things like getting jobs and being happy with yourself, and that's just on the inside. On the outside if there is something about yourself you don't like, with hard work and dedication you can change it. Anything that can do all of this - what is there not to love?

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

When it comes to motivating yourself it starts inside, if you don't want to do it for you then who are you doing it for? This means that if you take out the motivating factor then you run a chance of losing it. That's where my motivation starts, within me, but also looking at others and striving to achieve what they have increases my motivation. Plus, a healthy lifestyle means I feel better and don't get sick often.

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

Initially my goals were looking good and getting stronger, and look good for the yearly holiday, because if I look good then I feel good. But now it's about bettering myself. Also, nothing's wrong with a little healthy competition with the next guy, it makes you become the best that you can be, and strive for your full potential.

Being complimented on your body makes all the work worthwhile. Looking in the mirror and not being happy with what I see, makes me want to achieve my goals, if I don't like what I see then I go out and change it with hard work.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

My initial plans are to get into fitness modeling and be known and respected throughout the industry for that, but I know that's not going to happen without hard work. So right now is the hard part, and when I feel I'm truly ready I'm going to do some shows and then take it from there.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Use others as motivation; be all you can be, everyone's human so what changes someone else may work for them but not you, however you can makes your own changes.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

I wouldn't say I have a favorite, because I respect the work they have all put in, but I like Johnnie Jackson for his approach to strength as well as bodybuilding and being a good all-rounder. Arnold has to be my favorite for what he has done to help bring bodybuilding and fitness to the public, and for how he has used it to make a better life for himself.

What Features Do You Use On

There are so many exercises out there but sometimes it's good just to see them again to remind you, so I go on the site for that. I also use the reviews on supplements, and coming from my educational background I love looking at articles.
