How Did You Get Started?

In college I got a job cleaning machines at the Recreation Center. My boss saw a passion for fitness in me and helped me with getting my first certifications. I started teaching aerobics and then a few months later, I was certified as a personal trainer. I started with a handful of clients and realized that I loved helping people get healthy! I haven't turned back since.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

My current plan is great! I do 60 minutes of cardio each day, usually in two, 30 minute segments. I'm always changing it up, one day on the stepmill, one day intervals on the treadmill, maybe running stairs at the beach or going to indoor cycle class.

I lift 4 or 5 days a week. Mondays are usually back and calves. Tuesdays are chest, triceps and abs. Wednesdays are legs with a focus on quads. Fridays are shoulders, biceps and calves. Saturdays are my second leg day with a focus on hams. If I can only get one leg day in, I will do quads, hams and glutes on Saturday. Thursdays are my off days.

Day 1: Back/Calves

Day 2: Chest/Triceps/Abs

Day 3: Quads

Day 4: Off

Day 5: Shoulders/Biceps/Calves

Day 6: Off Or Hamstrings

Day 7: Cardio

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

My nutrition plan is pretty simple! A regular day looks like this:

Meal 1: 7:30 AM

Meal 2: 10:30 AM

Meal 3: 12:30 PM

Meal 4: 3:00 PM

Meal 5: 5:30 PM

Meal 6: 8:00 PM

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

I love the MRM 100% Natural Whey! I started using Optimum Nutrition powdered BCAAs and Glutamine before and after my lifts and also take a serving of Glutamine before I go to bed. Why do you love Bodybuilding?

Fitness rocks because it is the thing that is going to keep you young-hearted, vibrant and healthy throughout your life! It never gets boring, there is always another challenge or a new goal, and it pushes you to be your personal best! I love that it is also something that you can share with others. It's not one of those things that you like but have to keep to yourself. You can share successes, get each other through plateaus, and motivate the newbie.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

Feeling great motivates me. Results motivate me. I love reaching new goals. I was so excited when I first saw that line defining my quad for the first time. Yes!

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

I have wanted to compete for a while but wasn't ready to really commit. I had been teaching aerobics and personal training for about 8 years. Then I had my 28th birthday and the next month was January 2010. I felt like this was my year so I just went for it.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

I plan to continue training and teaching. I don't think I will ever stop! My plans include fitness modeling (can't wait to have a cover), completing and earning a Pro Card, inspiring others on a larger scale with DVD's and eventually I would love to own a fitness and wellness center.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Get a good trainer and be confident! Confidence and a smile go a long way! Also, make sure you have a solid support system. Whether it's family or friends, have a group around you that has your back.

Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?

Monica Brant, Jamie Eason, Alicia Marie and Nicole Wilkins Lee. All seem like down to earth ladies who are passionate about what they do and have unstoppable sense about life in general.
