How Did You Get Started?

My transition into graduate school from medical school offered me more "free" time; therefore, I decided to challenge myself physically and set the goal of entering a figure competition.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

Both weight training and cardio are important. However, I discovered that my greatest gains were from training with heavy weights.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

In preparing for most of my competitions, I follow a high protein diet (chicken and fish) and include only complex carbs such as oatmeal, brown rice and sweet potatoes. Water is also a key ingredient, and I try to drink at least 1.5 gallons a day.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

VPX Micellean, Effervescent Glutamine, Effervescent Creatine, and Stacker 2 as a fat burner.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

This is an amazing industry that takes physical fitness beyond what one gains from playing a sport. To be on stage with so many people who have the same passion for fitness as I do is an adrenaline rush that can be very addictive.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

A clean diet is 80% of the hard work you must put into your training! As a woman, don't be afraid to lift heavy especially when training your legs.
