How Did You Get Started?

When I was still high school I started working out at a local gym; doing aerobics, indoor cycling, and lifting weights. A female personal trainer at the gym told me I looked really good and suggested I try competing in figure. But as I got more serious about training, I started to get more interested in bodybuilding.

I started looking at pictures of female bodybuilders like Cindy Phillips and Britt Miller on the internet and thought that they looked awesome and so feminine. I decided that's how I wanted to look too and I joined the gym in Helsinki where Inkeri Salminen (one of the top female bodybuilders in Finland) trained. I did my first show, Finnish Nationals, in October 2007.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I like to change the routine I do at times, to focus more on different muscles. After I competed, I started to focus on my arms more, so that's why I train them twice a week. I do cardio for about 20-30 minutes on a treadmill after my workout. Most of the time I do intervals.

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I eat 6-7 times a day and only clean food. I try to eat a lot of protein, from different sources, like lean ground meat, chicken, cottage cheese, quark, tuna, and whey. Complex carbs such as oatmeal, brown rice, rye pasta, rye bread and other kind of bread, berries, vegetables etc. Fats I take mostly from flaxseed oil and lecithin.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

Whey Protein Isolate, Creatine Monohydrate

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I've always loved the look of female bodybuilders. I love how female bodybuilders look strong and I think it sends out a great message that women don't have to be weak and can achieve anything they want. I also love the lifestyle, the feeling you get after a great workout. I also love seeing my body gradually improve. I think it's kinda cool that you're always perfecting your body - there is always something more to accomplish.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

Right now I'm training hard and focusing on gaining more muscle while keeping my shape. I want to give myself some time to improve before I compete again. Next time I get on stage I want to feel like I'm ready to hang with the big girls. I'd love to compete on a pro stage one day, but like I said, in this sport you have to be patient.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

The Basic stuff: Train hard, eat right, get enough sleep, and be patient.

My favorite bodybuilders are Cindy Phillips, Britt Miller, Isabelle Turell, Elena Seiple.
