How Did You Get Started?
I had been working out for approximately 8 years without missing more than a week at a time all through high school and college. When I graduated from college with a degree in engineering I went to work for a company called WOODCO USA, a manufacturer of oilfield equipment here in Houston. Due to the support of family, friends, and my employer I decided to do my first show the FAME Natural Bodybuilding Competition in 2005. I ended up in first place and was immediately hooked on the sport.
I entered the show with my best friend, Tuan Tran, who was to become my personal trainer/nutritionist to this day. We will be heading to Miami to compete in the Musclemania Universe on June 19th for the third time. I'm hoping to take the light weight open division this year. We have come a long way from that first show, but the thrill is still there and it pushes us further along the road of natural bodybuilding. With each show we do, we find ourselves developing further and further to becoming professional natural bodybuilders.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
I like to keep it simple sticking to the basics, a good whey protein as a base. A fat burner to burn through the fat, and a pre-workout mix (NO product). I also take a multivitamin along with Glucosamine and Omega 3's. I've been using Labrada supplements since I began working out 12 years ago and have had great success.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
To me, bodybuilding is an endless endeavor for self improvement. Bodybuilding is where you have the power to sculpt your physique in the ideal image that you create in your mind. Through hard work and discipline your ideal self comes to fruition and your goals are achieved.
Bodybuilding is also great for stress relief; all your troubles melt away after a good leg workout. Usually after the workout it seems nothing else matters but getting in some wholesome nutritious food and hitting the bed.
Personally, after every break up with my X-girlfriends I would have the best leg workouts ever, sometimes staying at the gym for a period of four hours. After that it seems nothing bothers you.
What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?
One can find motivation almost anywhere if they make the choice to live a healthy lifestyle. Seeing others who may be living a less healthy lifestyle sets you up as a role model to help them see what is possible and to motivate them to live a healthier lifestyle. This in turn pushes you further to excel. Other people, especially through Bodybuilding.com, help support you through communications as well.
Sometimes words from the site help push you through those low carb days to get in a great workout when you just want to head to the house and skip on the gym. Being in the correct mind set also helps. Knowing that you have decided to devote your life to living a healthy lifestyle is a choice that you live by day in, day out. What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
My future bodybuilding goals are to become a top natural bodybuilding professional and travel the world promoting the sport of natural bodybuilding and fitness. Hopefully through my efforts I can show others what is possible without taking all the drugs which are so often associated with the sport. I want to get people off the path of destruction onto the path of betterment and health.
