How Did You Get Started?
I was always passionate about training and was approached in the gym by another competitor who thought I should try a show. Once I did one, I was hooked!
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I train 6 days a week before competitions on a three day split, but reduce my weight training to four days a week in the off season to allow my body to heal and grow.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
I eat foods that are as close to their natural state as possible. Preferably organic raw foods & grains, as well as vegetables and fruit in the off-season. I generally eat clean all year round, but add some nut butters, fruit and extra carbs in the off-season.
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
I did a cycle of Creatine Monohydrate once and found that I gained noticeable strength improvements and mass. Unfortunately I did gain some water weight as well.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love the challenge it brings. I love to keep my body and mind focused on a goal. I respect the body as a machine and like to discover it's potential.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
I just became a certified Personal Trainer and am looking forward to competing again next season. My long-term goals include opening my own gym and Health and Wellness Center.
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Never give up! There are going to sacrifices along the way, but stay focused on the goal!
Who Are Your Favorite Bodybuilders?
My favorite is Monica Brant. See has a phenomenal physique. I also have a great deal of respect for my trainer, Ian Walling, who emphasizes the importance of staying natural and looking at Fitness as a lifestyle choice and commitment to health for life.
