How Did You Get Started?

I wrestled in middle school and through high school. I wrestled 130lbs. my junior and senior year of high school, excelling in my weight class. I was one of the team captains and lead the team to win our league for the first time in 23 years!

After my senior year was completed I had had enough of cutting weight, being skinny and not eating the way I wanted. I hit the weights and found myself at West Chester University. Being that this University had no wrestling team, my sophomore year I joined a local gym up the street and started training seriously.

I met a guy who had just recently competed in a bodybuilding competition. I did not have any sports to keep me busy or goals set for myself. With such a drive for competition and success instilled in me from the years of dedication to wrestling, we started training together and I decided I wanted to do a show. From then on my passion was sparked and there has been no turning back since!

In 2007 I did the NABBA Junior Nationals show with only 6 months preparation. I took 1st place in the junior class and I was hooked. I wanted to get bigger and leaner from then on and did the 2009 NPC Lehigh Show where I took 2nd place in the Junior class, Light-Heavyweight class and the Men's Open Novice class as well as qualifying for Nationals.

What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?

I have mainly used an 8-12 rep range because I feel this is optimal for growth. I do go up to as far as 15-20 reps on various exercises.

Superset - Two exercises are performed consecutively without any rest.

Monday: Chest/Biceps/Abs

Tuesday: Hams/Quads/Calves

Wednesday: Calves/Abs/Cardio

Thursday: Shoulders/Rear Delts/Traps

Friday: Back/Tris

Saturday: Calves/Abs/Cardio

Sunday: Off

What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?

I generally stick to a low GI carbohydrate diet such as sweet potatoes or oatmeal with a high protein intake such lean ground beef/steak or lean ground turkey. I maintain a moderately high fat intake. I feel and look better compared to stuffing my face with massive amounts of high GI carbohydrates. Also I feel my body makes better muscle gains eating a very clean high protein diet rather than a super high calorie bulking diet putting on a moderate amount of fat. I allow 1 cheat meal per week.

What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?

The supplements that have influenced me best are SizeOn by Gaspari Nutrition. Drinking this product during my workouts helps me maintain my strength and stamina during an intense workout. Elite Whey Protein Isolate by Dymatize is another favorite. I feel this product sufficiently feeds my muscle before and after workouts.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?

I love fitness and bodybuilding because there is always room for improvement! You can always add more weight and the only limits in the sport are the limits you set for yourself. There is no one else to blame for your failures and only yourself to thank for your success. It takes determination and dedication. It is a lifestyle that not many others can follow.

What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?

What motivates me to follow a healthy lifestyle is my background in the medical field. I was an EMT and have a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I worked in an emergency room for over four years. I love the functioning of the human body and how it works. It is one of Gods most fascinating and greatest creations!

What Made You Want To Achieve Your Goals?

I am a very goal oriented person. My desire to give 100% effort into whatever I set my mind on has been responsible for my achievements.

What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?

Now I am thinking of possible shooting for the NPC Pittsburgh if everything goes well. I am working on becoming a fitness model and hoping to sign a contract with an agency in New York City. It is a dream of mine to see myself in the fitness industry in the near future!

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?

Maintain your focus and never give up on achieving your goals. The only limitations are the limitations you have set in your mind. Hard work always pays off not only in the gym but in life!

My favorite bodybuilders are Evan Centopani, Branch Warren, David Henry, Dorian Yates, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
