How Did You Get Started?
As far back as I can remember I have always loved super heroes and powerful people. That has never changed: I have always been involved in athletics and sports. Plus all the males in my family are pretty genetically gifted in the physical arena so it was just a great fit for me. I started training hard with weights in the 7th grade and by the 9th grade I was the strongest kid in my school pound for pound. During my senior year of high school I blew my knee out and had to have full reconstructive surgery.
Unfortunately during the years of rehab I blew it out again needing another surgery, which brought my football career to a quick end. But I never lost my love for lifting and striving to be the best me I could be so I got into bodybuilding. This was the first year I have finally been able to train my legs 100 percent so I figured ready, fire, aim. So I decided that 09 was the year I would enter my first amateur competition and see what happened.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
I do it all. I do power lifting for a few months, and then I will switch to high volume for a few months, and then do both. I like to keep my body guessing. An example workout week for my contest was:
- Monday: Shoulders
- Tuesday: Arms
- Wednesday: Legs
- Thursday: Rest
- Friday: Chest
- Saturday: Back
- Sunday: Rest

- Bench Press: 9 Sets Of 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 Reps
- Incline Dumbbell: 4 Sets Of 8-10 Reps
- Flyes FST-7: 7 Sets Of 15 Reps
- Dips: 3 Sets To Failure
- One Arm Triceps Extensions: 3 Sets Of 15 Reps
Most of my workouts follow a similar formula. Start with heavy compound movement using fast twitch and maximum weights then switch to high volume and pump my body full of blood and nutrients.

And I just go back through those three pretty much all day depending how long I am awake.

Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love self mastery and personal growth, mental, physical and spiritual. Bodybuilding is a way of expressing my growth through the disciplines and hard work it takes to create a beautiful fully developed physique. Plus I love the stress relief, endorphins, and the positive attention it brings. Although I like to take it to the max I also enjoy helping others reach a healthy medium. Life is like a mountain and there is only one way to go, up!
What Motivates You To Follow A Healthy Lifestyle?
I love the feeling of being healthy. Like they say nothing tastes better than fit feels. Plus I love doing things other people won't do. Not can't do, but "won't do".

My quest for power and success in life which is a fire that has been in me since the day I was born that will never be extinguished. Plus my family and friends and my beloved wife who I want to represent, and make them all proud.

What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
Be consistent and never quit. Don't just do it for vanity that will lead you nowhere. You need to learn your body and what works for you. My wife and I eat healthy year round and try to eat as organic as possible. We also believe you have to feed yourself the right amounts of vitamins and minerals to protect your health for the long haul.
Life is not a sprint it's a marathon.
