How Did You Get Started?
I got started in weight training during my senior year in high school. I weighed a measley 130 lbs. I got into weight training mostly to increase my strength for martial arts. As time past by, I started to focus more on bodybuilding. I like the way my body was changing and the ladies liked it too! I continued to practice martial arts when time permitted. I still wanted to be flexible and agile as I got bigger.
What Workout Plan Worked Best For You?
A 3 days on and 1 day off routine worked best for me. I focused mainly on the basic exercise and keep my reps around 10-12 reps. Certain weeks I would focus on 5-7 reps for 3 heavy sets on each exercise. Squats and Deadlifts are 2 of the best exercise to add on overall mass.
3 months out from competition, I move on to 5 days on and 2 days off. Lately my training priority has changed due to my involvement with modeling and acting. That means I stay lean year round so I can be ready for photoshoots or for film work.
What Nutrition Plan Has Worked Best For You?
What Supplements Have Given You The Greatest Gains?
Protein!! Lots of it. My body responds really well with high protein supplements. The ones I have used that gave me some good gains are Lee Labrada, Biotest, and Prolab supplements. Overall the one supplement I have used that have given me the greatest was Biotest 4-AD and Mag 10. And the MRP that I am hooked on is the Lean Matrix (Cinnamon Oatmeal) by Prolab.
Why do you love Bodybuilding?
I love bodybuilding for what it has given me. It has helped strengthen my mind as well as my body and apply it to everyday life. It has helped me live a healthy and rewarding lifestyle.
What Are Your Future Bodybuilding Plans?
My future bodybuilding plan is to re-qualify for the USA again. I am qualified to do the USA 2003 and Nationals 2003, but I have to give my body a break from my last competition (Aug 2002) and compete somewhere around Sept 2003 or December. Due to my modeling/acting venture this plan could change but I will continue to bodybuild and prepare for photoshoots to promote my website www.blazeworld.com.
Also, in 2004, I have some plans to promote a bodybuilding show here in Las Vegas and California. Right now I working with a promoter to promote a show in June 2003 and July 2003 and I will be there to help out with the comeback of the Mr/Ms. America in October. The show is being promoted by World Bodybuilding & Fitness Association (www.worldbfa.com).
What One Tip Would You Give Other Bodybuilders?
TRAIN HARD AND TRAIN SMART! Educate yourself and learn as much as you can from people you trust and knowledgeable. There is tons of information out there so spend some time and do your own research. Don't just take someone else's word for it. Be open minded and honest with yourself. Leave your ego outside the gym!
Greatest gains come from determination, dedication and discipline. You can't expect to make any gains if you eat junk food, smoke, or drink. So be willing to give up something in order to gain.
Oh yeah, true bodybuilders train legs! So train for symmetry!!

My favorite bodybuilders are Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mike O'hearn, Ming Chew, Shawn Ray, Stan Mcquay, and the smaller version of Flex Wheeler.
